Capriccioli, the Emerald Coast within everyone’s reach

Thename Costa Smeralda evokes one of the most beautiful areas of Sardinia, but also a type of luxury vacation. This is true, but only in part: even on the Emerald Coast, in fact, it is possible to find resorts within everyone’s reach where one can spend wonderful days at the sea surrounded by a panorama that is nothing short of breathtaking.

Such is the case with Capriccioli, a series of fine sandy beaches in a setting of granite cliffs, an enchanting strip of land covered with Mediterranean vegetation, jutting out into the sea facing the southern part of the Costa Smeralda and located just a few kilometers from Arzachena. The wild charm of the place combines with the color of the deep blue sea, and together they create an irresistible mix suitable for every need.

Each cove, in fact, has its own characteristic: the lido to the east has shallow, sandy bottoms and, being sheltered from the mistral, is ideal for families with children. Separated by pink granite blocks to the west is the other side of the Capriccioli shoreline, formed by two other beaches.

Capriccioli

The first also called ‘del Pirata,’ has small wooden pier with docking facilities, and where you can rent dinghies and pedal boats, but also participate in trips to the small island of Mortorio, a small and fascinating nature oasis.

The beaches of Capriccioli

A little further on, at the extreme tip of the peninsula, is the second beach, also known as ‘delle Tartarughe’: a natural oasis frequented by sea turtles during the spawning period, protected by an intact dune system and a grove of junipers. Easily accessible and served by convenient parking, Capriccioli’s beaches are ideal for enjoying this heavenly stretch of coastline.

Advice? Don’t bring your umbrella: the groves of junipers, mastic trees, wild olive trees and maritime pines will provide shelter during the hottest hours.
