Gavi is the absolute star of the Di Gavi in Gavi Festival. Three days, next June 7, 8 and 9, dedicated to the famous white wine from Piedmont but with Ligurian organoleptic influences, which will see the charming village of Gavi, and neighboring towns, dress up for a series of initiatives revolving around the “Gavi world.”

An important white wine of ancient origins, in lands mostly devoted to red, with different declinations (still, sparkling, spumante and reserve; the grape is 100% native Cortese) is vinified by more than 80 producers belonging to 11 municipalities in the Alessandria area. Di Gavi in Gavi Festival is first and foremost an important opportunity to promote wine and its predominantly hilly territory, in which the tasting of Gavi Docg becomes an opportunity to experience the tourism, art, culture and food of this area of Piedmont that borders Liguria.

From Gavi to GaviVisitors will get to know a wine district that integrates art, history, food and wine, sports, shopping and artisanal production of absolute excellence, and that offers diverse and comprehensive opportunities for experiential tourism: three golf clubs, exclusive resorts and numerous wineries ready to welcome enthusiasts, Europe’s largest outlet, the archaeological area of Libarna and the pristine protected areas of the piedmont apennines sloping down to Genoa. Above all, on Saturday 8, chef Andrea Ribaldone‘s exclusive gala dinner, dedicated to Gavi and its pairings with refined international cuisine recipes, which will be held in the scenic cloister of the sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace. On Sunday 9, however, day the courtyards of the medieval village will be open for tasting wine producers’ labels paired with Gavi focaccia and other typical local products.
