1.5 years. That’s how long the major renovation, interior and exterior, that brought back from a couple of years theHotel Lamm, a historic structure in the center of the South Tyrolean village of Castelrotto on the slopes of the Alpe di Siusi, to its former but at the same time modern splendor, with a style that is defined by the ownership “casual luxury” but related to the South Tyrolean tradition.
A choice, that of the property, against the tide: “green” architectural choices (they chose to work with local companies and artisans and natural materials of local origin were used) but above all a contemporary design bordering on minimalism, elegant without, however, indulging in excess.
Certainly a courageous decision, since this is howHotel Lamm differentiates itself from most of its competitors, who largely share a more classic style that “smells” of the mountains and local aesthetic traditions.

Stone, wood and glass the characterizing elements, recalling the territory that hosts the resort; neutral, warm and soft the colors of the furniture, original, functional and from the almost essential look, in its clean and discreet elegance, of common areas and rooms (49, all with living areas and balconies or terraces, plus 6 suites).
A successful look echoed by a substance of equal standing: the restaurant (particularly curated and creative his mise en place) proposes gastronomic specialties of the South Tyrolean tradition reinterpreted using only local products and related to the seasonality of food, while the wine cellar presents labels and blends, often unknown to most, superior quality with a more than acceptable markup.

The real feather in the cap, however, is not only a spectacular panoramic swimming pool (the water is kept at a temperature of 30°) with a motorized mechanism that allows it in the cold season to be completely covered without affecting the panorama, but also thewellness area, with breathtaking views of the village and the Dolomites.
