It kicks off tomorrow, Oct. 9, the 68th edition of SIA Hospitality Design, the trade show dedicated to the hotellerie supply chain organized by Italian Exhibition Group at the Rimini Trade Fair, this year with a special focus on wellness.
WELLNESS AND SPA
Wellness and innovation, but also services, technologies, products, cosmetics and treatments, will be the common thread of the Water area. Within it, the Bathrooms project, will offer 4 mockups of hotellerie bathrooms in real size, made by prestigious representatives of Made in Italy.
RelaxINg emotion is the concept that characterizes the proposal of Elena Ogna A4IDeA – Architects for Interior Design & Architecture, a sought-after concept of relaxation related mainly to the wellness-spa environment, in which clients seek their physical and mental well-being, proposed through the use of three natural elements: light, water and vegetation.
Sweet ho Suite, on the other hand, is the theme of the proposal devised by Studio Silvia Giannini, focusing on well-rounded wellness that involves all the senses. A spa designed as a “bonbon,” to be seen and enjoyed.
Water Light, the project by Galimberti Studio, involves the creation of a sensory oasis of well-being through a play of lights, sounds and essences, in which the body will regain balance and well-being.
Finally, in Studio Caberlon – Caroppi’s proposal, Natura Urban Relax, the bathroom becomes the central hub in the layout of the hotel suite. Environments of different natures are articulated within it to recreate atmospheres typical of spas and its relaxation rooms, integrating elements from the living room at home and the world of fitness.
HOTEL IN MOTION
Wellness and innovation will also have a strong presence in the ‘Make the Right Move’ exhibition space, which this year features Hotel In Motion: 1,000 square meters of exhibition space dedicated to the hotel of the future, with an emphasis on the elements of innovation and accessibility, technological evolution and Luxury Experience in Suite and Spa, requirements increasingly required to meet the diverse expectations of modern global, business, luxury travelers. From offering social spaces and activities to be experienced inside and outside the facility, to using technologies that simplify access to the facility through self check-in and that, inside the room, allow the guest to control certain functions of the suite or to have a totally personalized experience with settings, of music and movies in the Cinema Suite in high definition. But also a hotel that is increasingly attentive to welcoming guests with various accessibility needs or that wants to offer a “luxury” experience to be lived in its own facility, room or suite, in which care and design are contemplated in all furnishings, modular, thus tailored to each type of user’s needs, ranging from the bedroom, to the bathroom rather to the area relaxation in the suite, as well as in the hotel’s Wellness and SPA area.
SIMONE MICHELI’S PROPOSAL
Also focused on spa environments is architect Simone Micheli‘s exhibition in the same pavilion, which aims to show how wellness and hospitality are intrinsically linked. It will be a lounge area and, at the same time, an evolving spa that provides 24-hour wellness (hence the name 24h Spa Lounge): by day, the serenity of mind that acquires the body wrapped in a relaxing aura of well-being, among Turkish bath, sauna, emotional shower; by night, a sparkling, lively place dedicated to business among cocktails, music and chill-out time.
