In the hamlet of Casima, in the municipality of Castel San Pietro, the fifth structure of the Albergo Diffuso Monte Generoso recently opened: Cà Nani. Opened at the end of 2024, this structure represents an important piece of a project aimed at enhancing small local realities and combating depopulation in the rural areas of Ticino.
Located a short distance from Mendrisio, Cà Nani offers much more than just a stay: it is a true “small boutique hotel” immersed in nature, where every detail is designed to let guests experience the soul of the territory. The restaurant with panoramic terrace, the wine cellar made out of an old stable and the bar with 0 km products are just some of the experiences available.
The offerings are rounded out with guided hikes, food and wine tastings, traditional cooking classes, and visits to iconic sites such as the Bruzella Mill. For outdoor enthusiasts, mountain bike rentals are also available to explore the surrounding scenic trails.
With the goal of reaching ten facilities, Cà Nani joins Osteria Manciana, Scudellate Hostel, Casa dei Gelsi and Alpe di Caviano in the Albergo Diffuso Monte Generoso network.
